The bearing that allows rotation in an angular rotation in an orthogonal direction is known as a spherical plain bearing. Uses of spherical plain bearings

Being exposed to a large contact area the spherical plain bearings carries a high capacity of radial and axial loads. They are self-aligning, double row, and combination radial and thrust bearings. The rolling element in this block bearing consists of spherical shape which is superior when dealing with high loads. These loads need shock tolerance.
Angular contact ball bearing is designed for some misalignment and thrust loading. The other features such as lubricating holes and grooves in the outer rings. An angular contact bearing is necessary if the load is combined, in that it is distributed between axial and radial components. It is essential to note that the machine which has heavy load moves in which direction, it is only useful if it goes in a specific direction.
Bearing pillow block is otherwise also known as Plummer block bearings. They have mounted bearings used for providing load support for a rotating shaft which is placed on a plane parallel and the offset is to the axis of the shaft. With the help of bearing pillow block mounting becomes very easy.
